In prepration for the release of
our Engagement Surveys product
later this year, we've upgraded
the software that generates PDF
reports in our tool. This update
was completed as part of our
version 7.69a release and was
made available to customers on
5/4/2019. This article
summarizes some of the benefits
of the update as well as a
few things to consider.
What's New
1) Reports will run
about 25 percent faster. 2)
Logo graphics on report cover
pages will appear sharper. 3)
Footer text will now be
displayed in the same font as
the rest of the report. 4)
File sizes will be smaller and
downloads faster. 5)
Fixed occassional problem where
graphs are missing between page
breaks.
What's Coming Next
This interim software update
paves the way for new and
exciting reporting features
coming soon in version 7.70.
They include:
1)
Clickable links in reports.
2) Support for our all-new
Engagement Survey reports. 3)
Option to show your rating scale
in the header of all relevant
report pages.
4) Option to flag the highest
and lowest rated items in your
report's Individual Review Items
section. 5) Sharper graph
images with improved rendering
across platforms. 6) Comment
reports will run 20 percent faster
with streamlined Sentiment Analysis
and Key Phrase processing.
Things to Consider
1) When using the Report Designs
feature, report cover logos must
be JPEG (jpg) files in order to
be visible. We have
automatically updated accounts
that were using Report Designs
to JPEG logos. No action should
be necessary for most customers.
However, if you need to upload a
new logo in JPG format, you can do so
under the My Account tab, and
then selecting the Logo subtab
on that page.
2) Because
of changes to how the PDF engine
renders Web-based content,
customers with older custom
report components may notice
formatting problems after the
update. In the event that your
custom report does not appear as
you'd expect, please contact us
so we can update it.
3)
When using the Report Designs
feature, logos will appear
left-justified on the coverpage
instead of their previous right
justification.
